Lubegard 61910 Friction Modified ATF Supplement, 10 oz.

LUBEGARD HIGHLY FRICTION MODIFIED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (HFM-ATF) SUPPLEMENT improves DEXRON II, III / MERCON ATF by adding extra friction modifiers. This enhanced ATF can replace fluids from OEMs like Honda Genuine, Toyota Type T, T II, T IV, Mopar ATF +3 (7176), ATF +4 (9602), and other highly friction modified ATF’s. The formula of LUBEGARD HFM-ATF is based on the patented technology found in LUBEGARD ATF Protectant, which is widely accepted in the aftermarket transmission repair industry and is endorsed by multiple OEMs. Please note: Only use LUBEGARD HFM-ATF Supplement (Black Box) for applications that require highly friction modified fluids, and do not use it in CVT applications, as doing so in transmissions that do not require these fluids may lead to excess wear and clutch slippage. For all other ATF applications, use LUBEGARD Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant (Red Box - 60902).

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: For standard applications, add 1 oz. (29.6 mL) per quart (Liter) of DEXRON III, VI / MERCON, V ATF to the total transmission capacity (including torque converter) while the engine is idling in park. Do not overfill or use with Ford Type F ATF or in CVTs.

It also prevents overheating, assists in freeing hung-up governors, keeps valves free, provides smoother shifting, reduces drive train power losses, modifies harsh shifts to be quicker, maintains proper ATF viscosity in torque converters, inhibits fluid foaming and oxidation, extends fluid life, and reduces wear on the transmission.

This supplement can serve as a substitute for premium ATF from dealers and can be used by professionals to adjust the frictional characteristics of ATF. It is recommended for Ford Aode and 4R70W transmissions with shudder problems and contains the same benefits as the O.E.M endorsed Lubegard ATF Protectant.
